Embracing New Beginnings: One Word That Defines Your Next Chapter

There are moments in life when we simply know it’s time for a new beginning.
Not because everything is falling apart.
Not because we have all the answers.
But because something deep inside quietly whispers, “It’s time.”
I’ve learned that new beginnings don’t have to be dramatic. They usually start with one small decision. A decision to let go of something that no longer serves us. To trust ourselves a little more. Or to believe that the best chapters of our lives may still be waiting to be written.
Whenever I find myself stepping into a new season, I like to choose one word to guide me.
Just one word.
A word that becomes an anchor. A gentle reminder of how I want to live and who I want to become.
Maybe your word is courage because you’re ready to do something you’ve been putting off.
Maybe it’s peace because you’re tired of carrying stress that doesn’t belong to you.
Maybe it’s joy, trust, balance, or hope.
There isn’t a right word. There is only the word that feels right to you.
As you choose what you’re moving toward, you may also discover something you’re ready to leave behind.
Perhaps it’s the belief that you’re not enough.
Perhaps it’s the fear of starting over.
Or maybe it’s the idea that you’ve missed your chance.
The beautiful thing about life is that we are never too old, too late, or too broken to begin again.
Every sunrise reminds us of that.
Every day offers us another opportunity to pause, take a deep breath, and choose differently than we did yesterday.
So today, I invite you to slow down for just a moment.
Take a deep breath.
Close your eyes if you’d like.
Then ask yourself:
What am I ready to begin?
When the answer comes, don’t overthink it.
Choose one word that will gently guide you through this next chapter of your life.
Write it on a sticky note. Keep it on your desk. Save it as the background on your phone. Let it be a quiet reminder that every small step matters.
Because new beginnings aren’t about becoming someone else.
They’re about remembering who you’ve been all along.
Remember to be the light,
Camille ✨
