Let me ask you a question....Do you constantly beat yourself up for things you’ve done or things you’ve said? Do you think “I should’ve known better! I should’ve done that differently! I shouldn’t have said that!” We all do this. We all look back and try to reimagine and reinvent the past. We try to make it into something different than what actually happened. Shoulda, coulda, woulda.
🌿
If this has happened to you, I’ll let you in on a little secret. You don’t have to continue to berate yourself. And guess what, you can’t change the past! However, you can change the present. Here’s what you can do:
🌿
1. Accept the situation. It happened. Look at it with a discerning eye and no judgment.
2. Have patience. Learn to speak to yourself with kindness and compassion. “It’s ok Camille. You’re getting better at this. I’m proud of you.”
3. Let it go. Meditate on the situation. Breathe in and feel the emotion fully. Then on the out breath release it. Envision the emotion that’s clinging to you leave your consciousness.
🌿
Thank the universe for this learning experience and get ready for your next assignment. When you look at life as a classroom, always getting new adventures and new experiences to learn and grow, your whole outlook changes. Happy Monday and I hope this served you.
