About the Event
The purpose of practicing mindfulness is to be fully present, in other words being aware of where we are and what we are doing. Not being overly reactive to what’s going on around us and coming from a place of compassion, understanding, and empathy – very critical especially in relation to the workplace. And when we can start living like this - in a moment by moment awareness, we are able to face head on the various ups and downs, the storms of our lives with ease, because we are coming from a place of deep calmness and serenity. We all have the capacity to be fully present. We can all cultivate these qualities with simple practices, both formal and informal, that are scientifically proven to benefit us in many ways. Growing research has shown that when we train our brains to be mindful, we become more creative, more innovative, we focus better, we become calmer and more patient.
